"The prints you produced with the G7® Extreme really look good. I am going to take samples to the print properties meeting. (CGATS TC 130) They have the opinion that screen printers cannot produce high line counts with this precision. You proved them wrong. Great job."

Achieve a Close Color Match from Proof to Press

In response to our customer demands for quality color output, Empire has implemented a G7® compliant color management program. We have applied these techniques to all of our screen and flexo print processes plus our digital output devices, such as the Mimaki, Gandi, and HP Indigo. Reliable color and consistent visual color match will be achieved whether a piece is screen printed, flexo printed, or digitally output.

What is GRACol 7 or G7® Color Management?

*GRACoL 7 refers to the IDEAlliance Committee formed in 1996 as a graphic arts task force. It developed a document containing general guidelines to be used as an industry-wide reference for quality color printing. G7® is the newest version of the GRACoL publications. The goal of G7® is to specify a simple calibration process that will help the printers reliably achieve a close "visual match" from proof to press.color management at empire screen printing

G7® focuses on colormetric data for gray balance in the mid-tones rather than on traditional methods of controlling dot gains for each color. G7® is named for its grayscale calibration technique and the seven primary color values defined in the ISO 12647-2 printing standard: cyan, magenta, yellow, black (K), red (M+Y), green (C+Y), and blue (C+M). Although originally intended for commercial offset printing, the G7® method is applicable to virtually any CMYK imaging process.
